Introduction

About Avalon

In the fictional near future, fear of advancing biotechnology causes the federal government to outlaw all genetic research. But when a group of scientists manage to change the rules, not everyone is ready to live in a brave new world. Religious fundamentalism clashes with advancing science in this tale of doubt, faith, love and ultimate redemption. In this story, the word "Avalon" refers not to the mythical isle of Arthurian legend, but rather to an unscrupulous biotech corporation, and a remarkable young girl.
