The Third Age - in form only

As humanity sub-divided into sects (as a result of them becoming even more self centered), a new type of link was necessary to maintain the vital line of communication with Heaven. Since knowledge of the spiritual world was deteriorating, Heavenly feedback was being ignored. Humanity was no longer able to understand the reasons for being good to each other. The books which contained the deep wisdom of the angels were seen only on the surface, without understanding the corresponding links to the spiritual world.

Religion in "form only" came into existence. But these rituals were necessary to represent the things of God. Even if the people did not understand their meaning, these rituals - if performed correctly - were the basis of teaching about Heaven. If humanity could not understand the deeper things of the Creator, it was at least able to learn the forms of it, enabling the ability of "non-spiritual" good - which could be built upon in time.

Before the Golden Age, our Creator could see the path to which our free existence would lead. The Divine plan was aware of our potentials and provided for the proper influences at the right moments. In many religions, this is called Providence. These influences from God have been presented on many levels to all people of the world. Individuals, communities and whole cultures have received Divine guidance. But in the largest sense, our Creator has been communicating with us by one particular Global Divine Story for thousands of years now.

Many stories, myths and holy books have foretold of a Divine event which would change the world. God, it was said, would visit our world in the flesh. In the Third Age, this story began to be distinctly focused. Although heavenly communication with all people (in all cultures) continued, our Creator selected one tribe to take on the mantle of this great Divine Story. The tribe was taught specific rituals which would record a history containing pure correspondences of the spiritual world. The story of this tribe had as its premier event, the birth of "God with us" from somewhere in their lineage.

The holy books of the Jewish religion contain more than just history. In their internal sense, they explain the mind of God and declare the Creator's purpose - more specifically than any other holy book. This was due to the central purpose of those writings: the birth of God. This appearance of God (whom we call Jesus) was for the whole world, not for the Jews alone. But since the world was broken into ritualistic rivalries, it would take many centuries for the people of the world to see the true universality of event.
